Background
A graduate of Springfield College, Eric's interest in financial services stems from his life experience. "My dad passed away while I was in college. Thankfully, my father had planned carefully. I saw firsthand how important it was to have your financial house in order," explains Eric in describing what motivates him every day to do the best he can for clients. "Initially, my life plan included joining the Marines, but a friend introduced me to the industry and the rest was history. It was a natural fit that I began my career with another financial services firm and migrated to Financial Architects—a firm with a culture and the resources I needed to do my best."
Philosophy
Eric takes a quiet approach to educating the clients he serves. "I've always believed in the importance of taking a laid back approach and being service oriented. I do it well and have been able to bring much value to clients and prospective clients who appreciate having a professional guide them along a path," said Eric.
One of Eric's strengths is his ability to understand and translate issues of importance in the lives of clients and devise solutions. "I've done a great deal with life insurance, for example, using it in different applications to solve problems. Also, I've been fortunate to partner internally with more experienced professionals so that I can learn every aspect of the business." This has included working with closely held business owners, pre-retirement individuals and young professionals working to make a place in the world.
"I am good at having conversations . . . putting clients at ease and understanding that readiness is a precursor to change. This means that the timing has to be right and that the right reasons need to be in place. Ultimately, I believe, clients will choose to work with a professional if and when the circumstances are right," further explains Eric in describing how he works.
A good referral can come from almost any walk of life, including small business owners needing to maximize their resources and position their business for growth. In addition, young professionals are an area of interest. "I am particularly fond of educating young professionals on the value of disability income protection."

In his spare time, Eric enjoys volleyball. He is also a member of Scottsville Rotary Club.
