Background

For Rob, entrepreneurialism is in his blood, having worked in the family business in various field and operational capacities. “I came from a long line of business owners,” explains Rob. “My grandfather and father were in the transportation industry and I grew up with an understanding of customer and what small businesses face everyday.”

This early-career experience laid the groundwork for the financial partnership Rob is a member of today. Working in partnership with Taylor Collins, Financial Services Professional, and Yaeger, Treviso & Associates,* a local CPA firm, he works closely with small businesses and private individuals who value good information and personal accountability. “Relationships are key not just to attracting clients, but being able to help source and recommend solutions that represent the right fit for each individual client.”

In addition, Rob is a graduate of McQuaid Jesuit High School and St. John Fisher College where he earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology.

Philosophy

A commitment to service and the value of relationships are what drive Rob. “I’ve always believed I was most effective with clients who value information and education and want to learn how to address issues in their financial life,” said Rob. “I am technician at heart; a natural researcher and analytical thinker. Hence, the job I do today is ideal for clients who value understanding, critical thinking and careful analysis as the foundation for helping to protect what matters most.”

A best fit for Rob is a responsible business owner who wants to do the right thing for himself and his employees. “There are no cookie-cutter solutions. I recently attended a seminar put on by a retirement community and was astounded at the number of people asking very basic questions and the advice being dispensed. Solutions should not be ‘sold over the counter.’”

In addition, Rob works effectively with people from a variety of disciplines and stations in life, including hospitality businesses, professional service providers, health care providers like dentists and veterinarians, real estate investors, young professionals and retirees. One of Rob’s strengths is his ability to understand the complexities of various lines of business and the drivers in each unique client’s life. “No one financial services professional can fit the needs of every market or client. While one of my strengths is my diversity of experience, I recognize also that successful relationships are built on mutual purpose and understanding.”

A resident of Webster, Rob enjoys spending time with his wife and young son.
